Dermal Fillers are a soft and gel-like product injected in the skin to create fullness and restore volume.

Dermal fillers can be used to reduce signs of ageing by filling fine lines and wrinkles and lost volume.

Fillers used at ABOUT FACE clinic contain a local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort and are composed of Hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance found in the body allowing natural absorption over time.

Results from dermal filler can take effect instantaneously and can last for 6-12 months. 

Down-time after filler can vary for each patient but bruising and swelling can be expected in the first two to three days post-treatment.

FAQ

PRE-TREATMENT CARE

STOP: Take blood thinning medications, Asprin, Nurofen (Ibuprofen), Anti Inflammatories at least 7 days prior to your treatment.

AVOID: Alcohol for at least 48 hours prior to your treatment. ?? Panadol ??

AVOID: Strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours prior to your treatment.

AVOID: Booking any invasive procedures for 2 weeks before and after your treatment. This includes dental treatments, surgery, etc.

If you suffer from cold sores and have one present, you will need to reschedule your appointment.

PRE-TREATMENT CARE

AVOID: Alcohol for at least 48 hours after your treatment.

AVOID: Strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours after your treatment.

DO NOT: Apply makeup/lipstick to the treated area for at least 24 hours post treatment. If you need to wear make up within these 24 hours, please ensure its mineral makeup.

AVOID: Booking any invasive procedures for 2 weeks before and after your treatment. This includes dental treatments, surgery, etc.

AVOID: Spicy foods, hot drinks for 24 hours post-treatment.

AVOID: Smoking for 24 hours post treatment.

It is normal to feel some tenderness and even some bruising after dermal fillers. You may feel little lumps of filler which you can massage the area after 24 hours of treatment.

We recommend not flying overseas within 48 hours of your treatment in case any complications occur and we need to see you.

You may ice the area for first 2-3 days. Heat can be applied after day 3 if bruising is present to speed up the healing process. We will see you at 2-4 weeks post-treatment to review.
